Washington DC- Sean “P. Diddy” Combs finally delivered his controversial commencement speech at Howard University. Combs represents the 10% of Blacks who embrace their Black race and Hip Hop culture and as such have become successful.
The Reverend Al Sharpton said he was asked by Combs to give him some guidance on his speech and while neither revealed what that advice was, most are certain it had to do with getting the N-word out of rap and Blacks pulling their pants up and other such nonsense that Puffy ignored.
No Combs won by forging ahead with the speech after First Lady Michelle Obama and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice bowed out of their commencement speeches due to pressure from the 90% of Blacks and 99.9% of Whites who hate the Black Race & Culture and think of it as inferior.
Most agree while its up to the successful Black individual whether or not they share the secrets of their success with others, those that are in that 10% -who embrace their Black Race & Culture and reject the myth of White supremacy-would welcome the company.
All of those interviewed after the speech praised Combs and spoke highly of him as the speaker. There were numerous whoops, hollers and even chants of Puffy the original Combs moniker most of us are familiar with.
The draw from the Combs speech is that future controversies about non-graduates speaking will be somewhat deflated. That can only enhance future commencements and expand a world of possibilities moving education forward.
