Los Angeles, CA- Racist monster Donald Rumsfeld, credited with using the color codes measuring the level of terrorist threat as a means to maintain power over American’s during the post 911 Bush Administration.
The same Donald Rumsfeld who as Bush’s Defense Secretary was complicit in lying us into war and punishing the husband of CIA operative Valerie Plane for not going along with the lie about Saddam Hussein having Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Donald Rumsfeld made news on Fox recently when he offered that an Ape can handle Afghanistan better then President Obama has.
While most harped on the racist nature of the comment–and well they should–the veracity of the charge, apart from the absurdity of the Ape reference does indeed deserve to be discussed.
As a candidate for President in 2008 a then Senator Obama offered that the real war should have been waged in Afghanistan and not in Iraq. The Jr. Senator promised if he was elected President he would scale down the Iraq War and ramp up the Afghan one.
Obama was clear, he wasn’t increasing the Afghan focus just to wage war for wars sake. The purpose was to avenge 911, to send a message to future would-be terrorists and to increase security in the region by decimating Al Qaeda.
During the first debate with Senator Hillary Clinton the future President boldly proclaimed; if need be he’d venture into Pakistan–a U.S. friendly Nation–to capture or kill Osama Bin Ladin.
Fast forward to today, President Obama accomplished each and every objective that Senator Obama foretold. Including a full military withdrawal and a turning over of policing of the Afghan region by the successor to Hamid Karzai’s Government.
So Ape reference aside the former Defense Secretary has zero basis at all to criticize the Afghan policy of President Obama and offered none in his interview on Fox.
Shame on our ninety-eight percent Conservative owned and run media for not telling the truth about the Obama record in Afghanistan and for continuing to think their racist hatred for the Nations most accomplished President is justification for criticism and ape comparisons.
