Well the 98% White Conservative Owned Media got a lil’ victory on Friday when it was learned that the Michael Sam reality series set to debut on the Oprah Winfrey Network has been postponed.
The attacks on the documentary came fast and furious from the day it was announced. The MSM was not about to be scooped by the only Black owned Network even if this story features a Black man at its center.
While I fully understand that Oprah wouldn’t want to lose her Network over this or any single story this now means that the Fox News’ of the world can shape the Sam story through their own racist lens using his homosexuality and racial self-hatred as a bludgeon on all Blacks especially President Obama.
I hope the minute some other Network does a similar documentary profile on Sam Oprah realizes the game they played and picks right up where she left off in bringing the real story to us and not their spin.
We’ve seen our images distorted too many times to be surprised when this story is manipulated to advance the myth of White supremacy like every single other think our media does.
Knowing Oprah she won’t take this lying down. The Conservatives can take the lead on this one but I know our two Black owned outlets(this being the other one) will be right there to counter the MSM lies and propaganda.
Its a cliche but they won the battle, they will not win the war.
Oprah will follow Sam through training camp.
I more than any don’t want Racists or Black man Hating Black Lesbians to use Micheal Sam to emasculate Black men, denounce the Patriarchy or reverse the biological gender roles of Black men & women.
That said what good is an Independent Black Owned Media if the only filter in which we cover the Black community comes through Fox News? No if Oprah’s not the one to do this then who is, the Producers of Duck Dynasty or Honey Boo Boo?
Was it not Oprah who BEGGED Tiger to stop running round the world saying he’s not Black? Oprah like many of the 10% of Blacks who don’t hate their Black Race & Culture and think its inferior listens to me she’s aware of the truth.
So we don’t need to attack Oprah or trip on how much money she’s making or whether or not she’s legitimizing homosexuality because she’s not. She’s doing what an Independent Black Owned Media is supposed to do and that’s tell us the truth.
Those are my thoughts as usual I invite yours.
